Today, we will focus on the unique culture and cuisine of Anatolia in Cappadocia. We will cook with local village women in a traditional village house. They will show us how to prepare traditional dishes, such as gözleme (cooked thin sheets of dough with cheese), yaprak sarma (stuffed vine leaves), and mantı (meat pastry), which have roots tracing back to the Central Asian heritage of modern Turkey. You will taste the food you have prepared for lunch. After lunch we visit the winery in Ürgüp, one of the oldest wine producers in Cappadocia. Learn about the wine-making process and taste the local wines made from Emir, Kalecik Karası, and Öküzgözü-Boğazkere grapes unique to the region. As the sun sets over the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia, we sip on local wines while enjoying the view. Then, we head to a restaurant where we will enjoy traditional Cappadocian dishes.
